Dharamsala Animal Rescue was founded in 2009 to help the street dogs of India and to help protect the people of Dharamsala from rabies. The Dharamsala Animal Rescue’s primary goal is to support a healthy and humane existence for the thousands of homeless animals wandering the streets of Himachal Pradesh, India. Dharamsala has been successful in reducing the reported cases of rabies in Himachal Pradesh, as well as providing veterinary support for stray dogs, cats, cows, and donkeys. This grant goes towards providing vaccinations, medicine and shelter for these animals.
