- Conservation and Environment
Eco-Viva has supported grassroots leadership in El Salvador working in disaster prevention and rural development since 1996. Their mission is to work with low-income communities of Central America to achieve environmental sustainability, economic self-sufficiency, social justice, and peace. Over the last 15 years, they have contributed to the growth of a sustainable development network that, today, spans nearly 100 communities in the Lower Lampa region. This grant is in support of helping EcoViva’s local partners in EL Salvador ensure regulations are in place to protect the critical mangrove forests and sea turtles nesting habitats of the Bay of Jiquilisco.
