Education and Youth

La Esperanza is a volunteer group located in Granada, Nicaragua, that focuses on children’s education. The volunteers from La Esperanza go out into the local schools and assist teachers, tutor the children, help run sports programs, introduce the children to computers, and help teach English. Part of La Esperanza’s mission is to provide opportunities and resources for the educational advancement and community development of the Nicaraguan barrios. By doing this, they hope to brighten the future of the children, and empower the community to improve their current condition and break free of the cycle of poverty. This grant is in support of the purchasing of computers for the school.
